On March 4, 2024, Mr. Ketan Patel, Regional Director for Africa and Asia of Enveritas visited and discussed with Inetzero about the cooperation for the Survey component on Data collection of crops which included in the import list requiring origin certification of EUDR.
On the basis of The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) officially coming into effect from December 31, 2024, starting to apply to individuals, organizations as well as competent authorities of EU member states and in June 2025 will be applied to small and medium enterprises. Some types of goods including: palm oil, soybeans, wood, cattle, cocoa, coffee, rubber etc. will need to be traceable before entering the European market. Faced with the urgent need for traceability for the above crop products, Enveritas, a non-profit organization founded in 2016 in the US, has conducted research methods on plots of land with deforestation origins and collected crop data through satellite images to build maps and classify growing areas to support the traceability of these crops. Thus, instead of having to go to each growing area to locate and establish a crop traceability system, this solution helps determine the crop area and the origin of the crop related to deforestation in the most economical and effective way.
After learning about INETZERO’s capacity and supply capabilities, Enveritas decided to choose Inetzero as a Survey Partner to provide human resources, professional advice and synthesize the necessary data based on satellite images and tools provided by Enveritas. The two parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement for the first phase until 2026.
As a company operating in the form of a Social Enterprise, INETZERO is proud to contribute to supporting farmers, businesses and organizations to use intelligent methods to optimize production and business activities to meet new standards of environmental protection.
